Crackle Rattle Bash

Crackle Rattle Bash started around 1986 when Aris, Richard and Kay were playing on the streets of Amsterdam. While busking they were asked to record two tracks for the now famous COOL CAT GO APE compilation with Rockabilly and Neo-Rockabilly bands from all over Holland.

Frank Bayer joined the band on guitar and in July 1987, they recorded their first and only impressive self titled album on the famous Count Orlok label. The album’s overall sound falls somewhere between Neo-Rockabilly and Rockabilly and resulted in being hailed as Amsterdams best neoRockabilly band in the eighties by renowned Ear music magazine in Holland. Its still a classic to this day. They played many gigs in Holland, Belgium and Germany and eventually split around 1990. Recently, Just Another Normal Guy Records released an album with demos and live recordings of the band.

And that made them decide to reunite with Barry on guitar and Ko from Dutch psychobillies greats, Asmodeus, on drums. So it’s a the same vibe but with a bit more balls!

2024 is the year of CRB’s comeback. After playing the world famous Rockabilly-Psychobilly Meeting in Pineda, Spain, the other famous festival, Bedlam Breakout 2025 in England was also tackled in March, CRB is now ready to play the rest of the world!
